Verrotech Systems have announced that the newly upgraded version of their Control Panel (VCP 2.0) will be ready for roll out before the planned March 2004 date. Article The feature-rich upgrade to the Verrotech Control Panel (VCP) was originally scheduled to 'go live' during March 2004 with a final roll-out date of Friday 26th. Although this upgrade includes a number of comlex additional functionality as well as an overhaul of the existing functions, the implementation has gone without a hitch.
Following a better than expected series of beta-tests with the new system, the development team has decided that deployment can actually take place earlier than scheduled. The new functions and systems built into VCP 2.0 including the Spider Simulator and Website Popularity Checker will make the VCP one of the best products in the market. Using an entirely in-house team of developers headed by Matthew Bohan, the modular design and construction of this system will allow for easy addition of further 'modules'.
It is a certainty that the next major revision of the VSI (Verrotech Support Interface) will integrate closely with the VCP although the VSI upgrade is not to form part of the VCP 2.0 roll-out. Verrotech are currently planning to deploy VCP 2.0 toward the end of January 2004.
This speedy deployment would not be possible was it not for the input of those customers who partook in the beta-test series. Their input both on glitches and more generalised suggestions have proved invaluable. We plan to use a similar customer-based beta testing system on future projects.
