The eagerly anticipated updated Verrotech Control Panel
(VCP Version 2) was given a public preview today for
the first time. Although some customers have been
assisting with our beta-test program, this is the first
time most customers will have seen the advanced functionality
soon to be available.
In addition to upgrading some of the fantastic features
already available through the VCP such as Web Statistics
the VCP will now offer a number of ground-breaking new
services specifically tailored to our hosting customer's
needs and to help optimise your site performance.
These features are centered around our in-house VerroCheck
engine which analises webpages for search engine optimisation,
spelling and broken links. Detailed reports are made available
covering the total site and individual pages. We have also
deployed a Spider Simulator to provide you with a vital
insight into how your page will be seen and indexed by search
engines. Use of these tools and acting on the suggestions
they make can potentially increase hits to your website by
a large degree.
To help you monitor your sites visibility to the world at
large we have also implemented a Search Engine Popularity
list which allows you to view how often you are linked to
by popular search engines.

All of these features will be available to our customers
when the VCP 2 upgrade is rolled out, currently scheduled
for February 2004. The VCP already offers powerful web
statistics and webmail systems. If you don't already have
a VCP account and are a Verrotech Customer please
request one.
