26/01/2004: Changes to the Support System Outlined | |
Summary Verrotech have announced some further details of the changes to the support system, how this will affect customers and the timescales for deployment. Article The new support system for customers, which will replace the existing portal through the main Verrotech web site with a module for the Control Panel has been comissioned. Although this system will initially be run along-side the existing portal (and all updates available through both systems), the existing system will eventually be withdrawn.
Several key features will now be made available to customers including the ability to update tickets and receive email alerts automatically when an action occurs. Verrotech strongly urge all customers to get a VCP account (you can request one from verrotech.com/feedback.php). We will always enable customers to raise requests via unauthenticated services but the all other facilities will be withdrawn.
The timescale for these changes are as follows:
February 2004 - VCP 2.0 Roll-Out
Febuary-March 2004 - VCP Support Interface Roll-Out
August 2004 - Original System Scaled down to Open-Only
More information about the new support system will be made available when it is launched.
