Developed entirely in-house the latest incarnation of
the VCP provides an unbeatable service to our customers.
Features available include (some of these may only be
available to our hosting customers):
Unlimited POP3 webmail access
Wide range of hit statistics
Website Checker (spelling and links)
Link/Site Popularity list
Search engine simulator
Support request management
Many of these are new to the VCP, having been added with
VCP version 2 which went live in February 2004. The checking
facilities of the VCP are built around the VerroCheck engine,
a system which is batch-updated throughout the week or day,
providing up-to-date and quick summaries of a variety of useful
information. These technologies are designed to help you maximise
the impact, accessibility and popularity of your site, building your
traffic and commercial viability.
The integration of an interface through the VCP to our support
system allows users to raise, monitor and for the first time
update open and previously open tickets. Optional emails alerts
can now be provided to customers when ticket updates or actions
are performed by our support department.
Although Verrotech always consult our customers to gain feedback
on required or ideal features for our products (and the VCP was
no exception), for the first time on this project we asked customers
to participate in the beta testing of the VCP version 2. This
group encompased the full spectrum of our hosting customers involving
very technical larger corporate customers and single-site personal customers
alike. We also included a small number of customers who were new to
Verrotech and/or the VCP to see how people with no prior experience of
the VCP took to the new version.
This testing procedure was found to be highly successful in providing
very useful feedback and some identification of small bugs remaining
in the system.
